Consolation/Desolation (or Best Thing/Worst Thing) A Spiritual Exercise

Desolation:

This came in the mail last week. For those of you who didn't catch my adventures in sleep studies over at my vanity blog, I was recently tested for sleep apnea.

From my doctor:

Yes, you have moderately severe sleep apnea. See me to discuss results in detail.

Oh fun. If you read my post from my other blog, you'll see that I knew after the test that I had it. I was hoping against hope that it would be rated as mild thus allowing me the opportunity to try some other options before being saddled with a CPAP. Without talking to the doctor, I can't say anything for sure, but I think I am going to have to go the CPAP route as soon as possible.

My symptoms which led me to the doctor are not better and possibly worse. It has definitely affected my life and that of my family. So. . . next week I have an appointment to "discuss results in detail" and I'll go from there. As tough as it has been to be so tired, irritable and emotional, there is always something good to see in my life.

Consolation:

Days like this. . .

Marley doing a little happy dance down at the beach

Capturing quintessential Marley moments. If you know my daughter, you have seen this look in her eye and this body language before.

Finally, my two kids having fun with each other. And that smile. That is the best smile that ever was anywhere in the 'verse! After 5 1/2 years of othodontia, it had better be! ;)

Dear favorite ENTP,

Your kids are so stinking gorgeous!

And, I'm sorry about the worry this test is causing you. *sigh* Believe me, I know...I know...

Try not to "theorize" too much about it.

;-)

Easier said than done.

Sincerely,

Your friend INTP
