Sleep Over: the following morning. . .

10:15:01 pm last night. Both girls are asleep. Breathed sigh of relief.

6:44 am this morning. Awoke to crashing sounds and girls' voices. Stumble out of bed and to Marley's room. Open door:

"What are you girls doing?"

"We're looking for my guitar. We're playing family!"

"Have you been up very long?"

"Just a few minutes." Which I sorta believe. They're not so good with the quietness, these two, so chances are they haven't been up too long.

A few minutes later.

"Food, food, food."

"Okay. We don't have much in the house. We'll get you McDonald's or something for breakfast. Go get dressed."

Getting dressed doesn't happen. What does happen is floam gets played with. (Go get dressed.) They ask to go plant flowers in the backyard. (No. Go get dressed.) They ask if they can play with the guinea pigs in the backyard. (No. Go get dressed.) Marley starts drawing. (Good. She is sitting still long enough for me to do her hair and get her shoes on her. Yeah, yeah. She is old enough to put her shoes on but I do it way faster.)

Finally, everyone's hair is done. Everyone is dressed. Now. Let's go get doughnuts. The wandering around renews itself: "What's that." (Nothing. Go get in the car.) Marley to friend: "Hey, can I whip you with this?" (Go get in the car.) Don't forget your snack. (Come on. Go get in the car.)

8:08 am. Ahhhhhhh. . . . . . Breathed sigh of relief. I'm home alone. Sweet peace.
