Day Nine of the seige, um... I mean road trip. School days, baths, feeding the children. The responsibilities have us surrounded. But we have a small hope. We received word through a messenger who made it through enemy lines. Reinforcements are but two days away. There are rations to last that long but we are primarily reduced to frozen fare such as Kid and Lean Cuisines and Tony's Pizza. Foraging for fresh produce is possible but it must be set aside for the livestock, Nibbler and Smokey.
Emotional resources are very low and a cause for great concern. Must hang on for two more days. If not, we may be forced to face the unavoidable.
The children may have to go.
May the Lord have mercy on our souls.
