Rick James and me

Here is a rare sighting of me in a photograph! I was trying to take a picture with a straight face to do this novelty face recognition thing at a site called MyHeritage.com. Of course, it was nearly impossible with Marley's determination (reminiscent of a frat boy pulling a prank) to be a part of it all.

The picture I used is not suitable for viewing, but you'll be happy to know that, according to this face recognition software, I can count among my celebrity twins the following famous persons: Ava Gardner (yeah!); Susan Sarandon (I'll take it); Kate Bush (still not horrible); Dr. Dre (??!); Ruban Studdard (I can't even begin to comment on that); and, last and definitely most perplexing, Rick James (Yikes! Yowsa! Call the plastic surgeon. NOW!) It is pretty fun and you can email the results to friends and family.

Today has been a busy day with visits to the dentist (Colin,) swim lessons and a play date for Marley and a play date for me (coffee with Glyn.) Still to look forward to this week: double birthday part for sisters; the last two swim lessons of the summer; our small group from church meeting; follow up doctor's appointment; miscellaneous activity. Whew! I'm tired thinking about it. How about you?

Well, Marley has Smokey (the name Linny didn't take) in her lap and is eager to take him to the front yard. Since it is actually less than 90 degrees out there at 6:30 pm, we're gonna go for it and assume we won't kill the piggies with too much heat.
