Saturday and Sunday in the Sun

The annual multi-age class camp out was yesterday until today. Since Paul is at InfoComm, I decided to brave it on my own. I borrowed a tent and an air mattress, bought a soccer ball, two mitts, a softball and one Cinderella combo sleeping bag/air mattress and off we went. It was hot! hot! hot!

The first picture shows the kids playing water games. A good thing to do in 100 degree weather!

Water Games

The other two show the adults following the shade around and later, at night, we had some cake and sang around lantern light (too hot for a fire.)

(FYI - If you click on the pictures, it will take you to Flickr. You can roll the mouse around the pics and see little notes that it lets me "write.")

Marley had a great time, Colin tolerated the boredom and heat pretty well. Colin and Marley slept a little, I didn't really sleep at all and so we jetted out of there at 8:30 this morning when it was already almost 80 degrees. We made it home, got cleaned up and all took naps.

Later I dropped the kids off at the grandparents and went to a benefit concert at church. They were raising funds for our short term missions trips this summer. When we got back to the house tonight, it was hot and I was cranky with a headache, hence my post over at Life, the Universe and Everything called Heated Revelations.

No, but last night, it was in the middle of the living room floor. He tried it out and asked if they made these things one foot longer? So, I don't know, do you think there is a market for the Ramones combo sleeping bags/air mattresses?
