Miscellaneous

Well, as a combined Mother's Day/Father's Day present, Paul and I bought a new camera. The next pics aren't exactly showing off the best this camera can do, but I'll get the hang of the thang soon enough.

Pictures today are of: Marley at gymnastics, tired and being silly and Colin's new PSP which we gave him for his birthday (a few days early.)

We had some bad news yesterday. The gymnastics program will cease to exist as of August 2006. The director is leaving to open a new gym and the University, in their infinite wisdom (please read sarcasm here) have decided to close up shop. The program has had to work with tighter and tighter constraints and I'm sure this factored into the director's decision to leave. Paul and I now need to decide whether to look for a new gymnastics program for Marley or whether to just move on to something new. I really don't know what will be best. She definitely has an aptitude and we were willing to do this pre-team because the program here is so good. They really emphasize fun and a relaxed atmosphere. If we have to be at a gym that is too competitive, I just don't know. I guess there is one local gym that is known for their yelling at the kids. Yikes!

The other big news is silly really, but Marley has slept in past 7:15 for the last 3 days!!!!!! That is something akin to a miracle around here. In fact, it is after 9:00 now and she still isn't at school because she slept until 8:20. If she is sleeping, I will not wake her up. She can miss a little school today. I'm okay with that!
