Our little friend with a little flag
What we did this weekend, so far:
Friday:
Paul and I went to go see X-Men, The Last Stand. I'm an X-Men freak so I loved it!
Saturday:
Marley, Paul and I did a little hanging out at the local mall. Marley wanted to get her nails polished and to look at the puppies at the pet store. So, we did just that as well as heading over to the Sanrio Surprises store. Marley is getting an allowance now and had $1 to spend. For that amount (Mom paid the tax) she was able to purchase two pieces of gum and one pencil. I love the new freedom Paul and I have when she asks us to buy her something and we can say, "Do you have any allowance to pay for that?" The Disney store was having a swimsuit sale, so we did buy her a summer swim wardrobe. This year she will be sporting a Minnie Mouse one-piece and a Ariel two-piece. We left with Auntie Anne's pretzels in hand and went home. Later, Colin and Paul gave the car a much, much, much needed cleaning and I went out to the grocery store to buy supplies for our small group's picnic.
Sunday:
Paul was at church early as usual to play in the worship band. I decided that Colin, Marley and I would walk to church. It wasn't too bad and only took say, 10 minutes more than it would have if I had walked alone. Afterwards we headed over to the park for a picnic. It was a really nice day but I didn't make Colin put on sunscreen. His face is red! Marley doesn't burn as easily so she is just a little pink in the cheeks. Paul and I had hats on so we are in pretty good shape. Check out our picnic pictures and you will see a fun time was had by all!
After getting home and cleaning up, Marley and I went to the movies with some friends to see Over the Hedge. It was cute but I was sooooo tired and the theater was cold. Marley enjoyed it but when she could sense that the end of the movie was near, she started asking me if she could go home with our friends. Uh. . . no! We made that transition fairly easily because they drove us home and two of the kids came in to visit the piggies.
So, now we are vege-ing out in front of miscellanenous computers and televisions. Marley is sound asleep after a little hissy fit. I knew there would be one after such a long day. She was too tired to go down well. As a result, there was a few "I hate you's" along with some "I have a stomachaches," etc. Nothing we couldn't handle!
Tomorrow:
I will go see a movie in the late afternoon with some friends but other than that, we have no plans. I'm sure we will still be tired after the long, sunny day. I hope that you all have are having a great weekend!

I wish we could have joined you.
ME TOO!!!!!!!
P.S. I got your message at 9:30 pm, too late to call. Let us rectify that with a phone call tomorrow!
Darling photo!
Isn't it? Paul took it.
Now that I am not sooooo intimidated with all this stuff, I am really and truly enjoying all your efforts, the pictures, the dialog, etc., etc. I sometimes get lonesome for you and my grandchildren, eventhough they are doing quite well without me. I do so love you all, keep up the good work!
duh! forgot to say love MOM!
She is photogenic and Paul has a good eye for photography.
