The Stomach, Current Source of Much Discomfort
Well, Marley started throwing up on Sunday. It is amazing how my kids have two different kinds of style for this sort of thing. Marley is a little more sporadic and more silent than her big brother. Anyway, I won't get into any more detail than that. So, she had vomiting and a 102 degree fever all day. We kept her home on Monday just to be safe. I felt bad because she was going to miss a field trip to a farm. She had been so excited about it, but I just wasn't sure. It was an outdoor field trip with possible rain. Of course, she was fine all day long. But, just when I thought it was safe for her to go to school, she threw up again this morning. What to do? For now, we are keeping her home. In an hour or so, I'll see how she is doing and then decide whether to take her later this morning. Sigh... a parent's job is never done.

I hate when that happens! And just when you have a full day planned too--I bet! I hope she is better soon.

Is it chickenpox? I heard her friend across the street had the malady. My case of it at age 9 started out this way. Hope she's feeling better and it was just "a bug."

T - I don't think so. But, you never can tell. She isn't running fever, so I think we are in the clear. But, the neighbor who has it had her chicken pox vaccine and still got the pox! She made it through school today okay.
