Well, Paul came home last night and none too soon. So, the turtle ticker comes off the blog perhaps to resurface in June when he heads out to Infocomm in Florida.
Marley turned 6 yesterday. The combination of no daddy, a birthday and new guinea pigs was too much for her and Thursday she turned into screaming girl. So, we begin the process today of detoxifying her. All prayers during this process are welcome. We do still have her little birthday party. It will consist of her going with one friend to a pottery painting store and a movie tomorrow after church. Hopefully the over-excitement detox can go into full force after that.
Colin was a great help the past 11 days. He is, of course, hoping for a thank you in the form of some huge monetary award. Not gonna happen. In 3 weeks he turns 14. He is growing like a weed. I'd post some pictures but I can't get him to cooperate with taking one. I need one of those digital cameras that clicks instantly. The one we have, which I'm lucky to have, has a 1-2 second delay. Just long enough for him to get out of the frame or turn his back. Drats! Foiled again. Some day I'll get him.
I'm not sure what the week holds. Usually after a long run like this, I collapse and it takes me a few days to be fully functioning again. We do need to work on getting a larger cage for the piggies. They need at least twice the space we have for them so far. I guess you can get these plastic grids and some plastic corrugated sheeting and make a cheap cage.
Hope you are all doing well.
