Marley Van Gogh

Here is a recent drawing of Marley's. Now, she is just your average six-year old artist chick. Paul and I don't think she is some sort of prodigy. However, we constantly get a kick out of her perspective.

In case you can't read it, the caption on this picture is "I help at home to feed my guinea pigs." She is carrying food to her piggies and they also have little food bowls in front of them.

Things Paul and I think are funny:

  • In one hand, she appears to be carrying the bucket we put the guineas' food into. It looks like there is a little handle over her wrist.
  • Next, she put just a little color into the picture: blonde hair for her, brown fur spot for Smokey and gray fur spot for Nibbler.
  • Finally, what really us up: the ears on Smokey. In real life, Smokey has chewed up ears. Sometime in his life before us, he got picked on my one or more aggressive piggies. Marley ALWAYS draws him with raggedy ears.

Smokey's chomped on ear:

Nibbler's perfect ear:

I look forward to seeing what else this girl comes up with!
