Colin starts throwing up. He's been throwing up every 1/2 hour to 45 minutes ever since. Poor kid.
4:45 pm
Colin is doing better. He hasn't thrown up since 7 this morning. He does have a fever, though. I don't know if he will be able to go to school tomorrow or not.
Marley went home with Grandma and Grandpa after school and then over to our friend Sharon's house to play with Lulu and Rosa. That was a total God-send. I picked her up and took her straight to gymnastics so we have had a relatively stress-free day, Marley-wise. I think she would really have bothered Colin if they were both home today. Now, after I pick her up, she'll just have time for a snack before bedtime.
So, in spite of Colin's sickness being thrown into a less than pleasant week, I am feeling okay today. Thank you, Lord!
Blessing count for today:
- Friends who care. Sheila offering to help if I needed anything. Michelle calling, again, and checking in on me. Sharon's serindipitous offer for Marley to come over to play.
- A great parent/teacher conference for Marley. She is doing great in school. She has made quite a bit of progress since the first trimester. Her math skills are very good and she is an eager, cooperative, independent student. The most impressive part of the conference was the teacher reporting that when she was assessing Marley on shapes, she was supposed to know circle, triangle, etc. Somehow Marley also knew the correct terms for sphere, cube and cone. ???? I don't know where that came from. Although she didn't know what a cylinder is, the teacher and I were impressed!
- Colin is a pretty easy patient. He took care of himself through most of the night which allowed me to get enough sleep to function today. He slept and watched tv today without complaining.
- I'm continuing to feel better. It has taken a little while, but I really am pretty much over the cold/allergy/flu thing I had. I'm hoping my immunities are all charged up and ready to fight off Colin's bug!

This stinks. Do you need anything? A run to the store for supplies? Call me if you do!
